Bighorn Gravel
“The Best Gravel Race You’ve Never Heard Of”
As the “best gravel race he’s ever done,” Bighorn gets a proper breakdown from everyone’s favorite vegan. He highlights course features, strategy, community, and why he decided to do the Little Bighorn right on the heels of the 85-mile Ramshorn escape course, for a total of 130 miles and 15k of vert! What a beast!
This coming June, gravel riders, families, friends, and spectators will descend on Eagle County for a gravel experience like no other. Featuring terrain and views that only Colorado High Country can offer, the course will challenge your fitness and skills as you climb through the thin air of the Rockies.
The 85-mile Ram’s Horn Escape is a full serving of alpine gravel, featuring over 10,500 ft of climbing. Sprinkle in some single track, a hike-a-bike or two, rowdy descents that will have you begging for mercy, and some of the most fantastic scenery you can dream up, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a great day on the bike.
85-Mile riders will compete for more than $10,000 in cash split evenly between Women and Men!
The 50-mile Little Bighorn is no gimme, packing 6,500 ft. of climbing into a relentless course. Same views, same wild singletrack, and the same spirit of the West found in the long course, in a more manageable serving.
Curious about testing your mettle, but not sure if a big gravel event is up your alley? The 20-mile Gravel Curious option is the best way to get your feet wet, featuring just enough gravel to entice you back for more. E-bikes are welcome, and the course is non-competitive.
The expo will include a family friendly build up to the next day’s events, complete with live music, food trucks, beer, kids balance bike races and much more.
Huge thanks to The Town of Gypsum and Pinarello for their generous support and helping us create this unique event. Thanks to their support, we’re able to offer onsite camping, complete with showers and bathrooms.
