Since it is National Women’s Month, we thought it would be appropriate to give a shout out to some of the great cycling groups that are for women.
Interested in bikepacking? Or are leisure rides with après ride drinks more your style?
There are several cycling clubs and groups for women and girls around Colorado (especially along the Front Range) for cyclists of all ages and abilities. We’re confident you’ll find the right one for you.
Black Girls Do Bike (BGDB) grows and supports a community of women of color who share a passion for cycling. BGDB champions efforts to introduce the joy of cycling to all women, but especially, women and girls of color. There are over 100 chapters world wide, including one in Denver.
Cycling Gals Network has a Facebook group that posts group rides in the Denver metro area.
Fems and Thems organizes rides in Denver. Find out about rides by following them on IG: fems_themsdenverbiking.
Interested in bikepacking? Galpackas organizes bikepacking trips for all gals (cis or transgender) and non-binary individuals who identify with the women’s community.
Little Bellas creates opportunities for girls to experience success using mountain biking as the platform and pathway to personal growth, building community, and competency.
Girls, Gears, and Beers is a mountain bike-focused group based in Golden. Membership includes discounts from sponsors, private coaching and group clinics, and access to weekly rides, club events, and trips.
Since 2009, Boulder-based Petunia Mafia Cycling welcomes women road, gravel, and mountain bikers of all speeds to join their community.
Ride or Die Collective centers, protects, and grows spaces for Women/Trans/Femme/Non-Binary riders in the cycling community. Team RDC empowers through education, development, and performance.
The Cycle Effect’s mission is to empower young women through mountain biking to create brighter futures and build stronger communities. They hope to close the diversity gap by getting Latino girls in Summit and Eagle Counties on bikes.
Sip & Spin Women’s Cycling Group is for women interested in road and gravel biking in a supportive, fun environment. There is no obligation of membership fees or kit purchases. Every ride has the option of après beverage and fun conversation after the ride. Events are posted on Meetup.
Formed in 2009, the Boulder-based Venus Bike Club is a recreational, no-drop cycling club that fosters an encouraging and supportive sisterhood. The Venus Bike Club is an ally to the LGBTQ community and welcomes all riders who identify as female or non-binary.
If you did not see your group on here, check our directory to make sure your club is listed. If not, please let us know so we can make sure we have your information at:
